I live alone on a boat. A sailboat to be more specific. In Mexico. (Currently). Many guys, and a few women, tell me it's their dream life. It was mine too. I was tired of dreaming about it though. So, in March of 2021, the day after a judge signed the divorce decree ending my nearly 30 year marriage, I loaded everything I own into a Mini Cooper and drove from Boise, ID to San Carlos, MX, leaving an ex-wife, 2 grown kids, 2 dogs, a couple good friends and hundreds of ok ones, a language I'd grown quite accustomed to and a culture (and a cost of living) I had grown quite tired of, behind. Since then I've sailed one boat 600 miles down the Sea of Cortez to Banderas Bay (home of Puerto Vallarta and a dozen other smaller towns), got sober and became a yogi at a 40 day wellness retreat, put that first boat up for sale and bought a slightly bigger boat, and am living life a day at a time as I figure out what the hell to do next. The closest thing to a plan I have (small 'p') is to continue to explore and learn more - about Mexico and points south, about Yoga, and about Me. Oh - and about punctuation.
My writing is just about my observations about life. I'm a tad twisted so I find humor where others may not. I've always enjoyed writing but I didn't really start doing it with any regularity until 2016.
